Norman Merton Durant started in the Insurance business in June, 1941. Merton's son Ross joined the practice in 1956. In 1982, the company was incorporated, and Ross was joined by his daughter, Michele, in 1987 becoming the third generation to the practice. A partnership was formed between Ross and Michele in 1996 with Michele becoming President and Ross, Chairman.
Michele has continued to improve her knowledge in order to provide the best services to her clients. She has earned the following designations: Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Financial Management Advisor (FMA).
